We have a female Maltese, Liberty.  She is 4 years old and I do know what you are saying.  We finally gave up and allow her to sleep with us every night.  We really do not mind this lack of privacy.  Anyways' if you have not been able to resolve this issue, I would be happy to take your puppy off your hands.  I think Liberty would love a playmate.  Let me know.

We have kept lights on, put soft music on, slept in the same room with her so she can see us, but nothing has helped... we love that little pup but our life had dramatically changed for the worst and we are about to be thrown out of our apt building because of the continous awful barking for hours on end and our cranky neighbours. We are considering sending her back because we cannot deal with the night non-stop barking - will this get better? we feel like we tried everything and nothing is working...we are forced to be on her schedule as I am now completely sleep deprived and falling asleep with my pup on the couch - I feel like I am living in a vey expensive dog house and living by her rules.. help.
