All puppies need an appropriately sized crate to be kept in when the owners are at work. They should be able to stand up in their crate and walk around. As time passes and as the puppy grows to be more responsible, the owner may choose to leave the dog in the house. Puppies and dogs are territorial and do not mind small crates. Make sure it can move, stand, and play with chew toys. It should be fine. I crated my dogs until they were 3 but the crate was large. They are now in the house. Hope this helps.
: The best thing for your dog is to crate him. When ever i left my dog in a little area he would tear his pee pad apart and i would get angry at him. Now i crate him and he hold his pee and when i get home the first thing he would do is go pee. Good Luck

: : We leave our 16 month old Maltese at home alone when we go to work.. He has a dog door to go outside when he wants... I come home to a mess everyday... He is destroying anything he can get a hold of. It is something different everyday. What do we do to solve this problem? and is it separation anxiety??? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
